Enchanted Garden Children’s Area

Whether it’s food-focused craft activities, cookery classes, sing-a-long sessions or building a clay mountain of junk food, there were lots of opportunities for children to let off steam in the Enchanted Garden! Below are the fantastic things we had in 2013 however watch this space to see what we have lined up for little ones in 2014!

Junk Food Mountain

Eastnor PotteryCome and help Jon the Potter from Eastnor Pottery & The Flying Potter create a collaborative clay mountain of junk food and foul tucker! This activity is suitable for all the family and no previous experience of clay is necessary! Drop-in any time between 11am – 1pm & 2pm – 4pm.

Easy Peasy

Easy Peasy Cookery

Easy Peasy Cookery will be creating a stir with wooden spoons and plenty of flour! Cooking will be made fun and simple using fresh local and seasonal ingredients. Hour long sessions at 11am, 12.30pm, 2pm & 3.30pm. Limited spaces available, suitable for 5-12 year olds and please note all children need to be accompanied at all times by an adult.

Sing-a-long Sessions

The Nursery Rhyme ManJoin The Nursery Rhyme Man and his ukulele for a sing-a-long session, with special puppet guest appearances from some of the best loved nursery rhyme characters. Especially for little ones, 15 min sessions at 2pm, 2.30pm and 3pm on Sunday 3rd only.

Paper RocketsPaper Rocket Making

Join in the Bonfire Night buzz by making your own spectacular rockets with Sarah from Spare Room Arts. Make them glow with glitter and sparkle with streamers and then enter them into the craft competitions at 12.15pm and 3.15pm.

Biscuit Decorating

BiscuitsHave some fun with Hope4Herefordshire! Your children can get hands on and creative as they decorate delicious biscuits and then enter them into the craft competitions at 12.15pm and 3.15pm.

Where In The World?

In Cargill’s workshop, aimed at children aged 10 and under, you will discover where your food comes from and how it ends up on your plate. Why do certain foods only grow in certain countries and how do those foods reach you? What foods are grown on your doorstep?

Egg Hunt

Join Cargill in the Secret Garden to look for hidden chocolate eggs – can you help the egg turn into an adult chicken?

Vegetable Game

Help Cargill harvest all the fruit and vegetables in season with colouring and puzzles.
